Standard formalities :

Proof of citizenship, passports, visas, tourist cards, health recommendations, inoculations (where required) and compliance with customs regulations are the responsibility of the member. Club Med Sales, Inc., shall not be responsible if boarding or entry is denied or delayed or if cancellation charges are imposed or additional costs incurred as a result of the failure to provide required travel documents. All information should be confirmed directly with the appropriate government consulate or tourist office in advance of departure.

New passport requirements: For travel outside the United States including Mexico and the Caribbean, a passport is now required. Please check www.travel.state.gov for complete travel information. Some countries may also require a Visa. Verify that your passport/visa has not expired (some countries will not allow you to enter on a passport that's due to expire in six months or less). Standard formalities :

Passport in course of validity required + Tourist Card valid for 15 days. If stay superior to 15 days a surcharge of 10 USD will have to be paid at the exit of the territory. The Club Med can take care of its obtaining under certain conditions.

Children's formalities :
Minors who go to Dominican Republic must have their own passport, in the course of validity (or their own ID card – the new model, which is impossible to forge, in course of validity) …If they are less than 15 years old they can appear on the passport of the father, the mother or the legal guardian only if they travel accompanied with the holder of the passport on whom they are represented. …If the child celebrates his/her 15th birthday in the course of stay he MUST HAVE his/ her own passport, or his/her own ID car in course of validity.
