She spent her childhood in ballet classes and knew at an early age that she wanted to pursue a career as a professional dancer. Upon graduating from Point Loma High School in San Diego, Laura moved to New York City at the age of 17 to continue her rigoruos dance training. KERRI WALSH

“Six-feet of Sunshine,” Kerri Walsh is on her way to becoming the best female beach volleyball player of all time (along with her partner Misty) after only playing professionally for seven years. Kerri is a two-time AVP MVP (2003, 2004) and part of the Tour’s Team of the Year for the past five seasons. She has also been named AVP Best Offensive Player in 2003. For the third straight season, she was chosen as the FIVB’s Best Hitter, Best Blocker and Sportsperson in addition to collecting the 2007 Best Offensive and Most Outstanding Player awards.

Kerri currently resides in Hermosa Beach, California with her husband Casey Jennings, one of the top men’s volleyball players on the Tour. The two were married December 4, 2005. Both players won in Seaside Heights in 2006, making them the second married couple to win on the same weekend, joining Mike and Patty Dodd, who accomplished the feat four times. Walsh and Jennings again both won in San Francisco in 2007.

Kerins (CARE-INS) played on the AVP Tour for 8 years, capturing two beach titles in 1997 Cape Cod and 1998 Grand Haven with Henry Russell and Canyon Ceman respectively, and is a 4 time Manhattan Beach 6 man champion and original member of Team MAGNUM P.I.

Mark was a candidate as the AVP top rookie in 1993. He was a member of the Unites States National Team in 1990 and 1991 and an NCAA 1st team All American. Throughout his career Kerins was know as one of the hardest hitters in the world. He is easily recognized by his loud Primal roar as he hits the ball. Hence given the nickname P1 (The primal one) and some of his friends affectionately call him Hammer.

Mark and wife Gabrielle are the parents of two lovely daughters, Summer and Katie. The quintessential soccer dad, Mark coaches the girls soccer teams. However he maintains his Volleyball Routes, playing in recreational tournaments throughout the summer and running volleyball clinics and tournaments for children and adults.
Mark is currently working in sales as a Integrated Document Solution Consultant for Reynolds and Reynolds where he sells printing, legal forms, apparel and promotional items.
